I was generally anxious, tense and tired from it all the time. 

Even though it was easy to zero in on one thing, like my back pain, and think I had a specific problem with my back...

The real reason my body wasn't healing was the same reason I woke up feeling exhausted and struggling to get out of bed, and the same reason I picked at my face.

My Stress Response was out of control and my nervous system was fried.

And yet if you'd told me then that was my problem... I wouldn't have believed you.

I was like the great pretender... so good at pushing through.

My family didn't believe I was that bad even when I asked for help with my skin picking as a teenager... (and as you know, asking for help is a very hard thing to do!)

My friends didn't believe I could have anxiety because I taught yoga classes and gave talks on nutrition to crowds of people.
Even I thought I was living a pretty healthy life and didn't relate to "having anxiety".

Plus I was doing ALL the right things, trying to keep up with the exercise, healthy diet, taking supplements...

I'd been to a psychologist and tried a number of different therapies.

But even leaving my stressful career behind to become a part time yoga teacher didn't work and I started to spiral. The busyness was gone and suddenly I had time to all hear those thoughts again. I didn't know how to switch off.


Anxiety turned into depression...

I couldn't get out of bed... I couldn't stop crying... I had zero motivation...

I had lost all sense of purpose and joy in my life, despite having the career I'd worked so hard for, a wonderful husband, I mean everything on paper looked good.


I should have been happy... I should have been GRATEFUL.

But at that point, all I could feel was numb and hopeless.

Something had to change.

[ Spoiler alert: Life is SO very different now! ]
It was when I visited a friend who was a kinesiologist that I experienced my first breakthrough.

She gave me a plan.

A plan that I wouldn't actually follow because I was a busy woman and perhaps didn't really believe this could actually work for me!

Yet something shifted in me and I knew I was on the right track to figuring this out.

But what I realised is that it's VERY difficult to make changes, put boundaries in place and practice anxiety management techniques when you are:

a) Exhausted and

b) Surrounded by things that trigger your anxiety!!

Riiight?!

And that was a HUGE light bulb moment for me...

No wonder so many smart, ambitious people struggle (often in secret) with anxiety and get nowhere healing from it - life doesn't let them!
At the start of my own healing journey, I made the decision that the veterinary career I had worked so hard for - was not for me.

I left the industry and dedicated myself to figuring this out. To getting as educated, healthy and happy as possible.
I figured if I could crack the code, I could help others do the same.

Who Am I?

I'm Kelly Moriarty, an online stress and anxiety management coach. I am also a trained nutritionist, personal trainer and Iyengar yoga teacher.

I own a gym and yoga studio in Newcastle, Australia with my husband Andy and split my time between looking after my toddler Eoin and running two businesses!

The founder of the Green Body Plan, I spent 5 years at university to become a veterinarian and then 5 years practicing medicine and surgery... before leaving the industry completely burnt out. 

After my own 10 year health transformation, I'm now passionate about making sure what happened to me doesn't happen to all the other ambitious women out there giving it there all! I teach my unique method of stress and anxiety management, which includes identifying anxiety manifestation patterns, creating hormone balance with a nutrient dense diet, teaching movement practice, mindset and creating connection among high achieving women.

Is this a course or a program? What is the membership?

The idea for the membership came from the desire to meet the needs of busy women throughout the world who know they need to look after themselves better and prioritise their self care... but just didn't know where to start or how to stay accountable. With so much information out there about diet, exercise, stress and women's health, it's way too easy to get stuck looking around, worrying that we're adding more to our plates and therefore never actually take the necessary action to see positive changes in our lives.

What's included in the membership?

The membership includes a 5 week course which serves as the foundation for the teachings of The Circle. This course consists of a video and worksheet, each designed to help you better understand and also start to question your preconceived beliefs about the 5 elements of health & wellbeing. You can return to these modules any time to refresh your understanding and gain deeper clarity. 

The membership also contains a monthly workshop and the release of a new set of recipes and a 7-day meal plan. The workshops cover a variety of carefully selected health and wellness topics - based on the conversations and questions that are shared inside the Facebook group.

What is the ongoing cost of the membership?

How do I cancel my membership?

Are there recipe options for vegetarians?

There are vegetarian options within each meal plan but not a separate meal plan. Most recipes can be reproduced with vegetarian alternatives. 

I'm not on Facebook - could I still attend the workshops?

Yes, although the community is in a Facebook group, the workshops are run live through zoom and streamed to the group. You therefore have the option of signing in to participate directly through zoom if you prefer not to enter the world of Facebook!

Is the course DIY or is there coaching included?

I haven't been officially diagnosed with anxiety, but I recognise a lot of the symptoms... is this helpful for me?

Yes! Whilst term shave been used, I have never been "formally" diagnosed myself. I'm sure I could have been diagnosed with a lot of different disorders at different times on my journey, but when I didn't get the help that I needed I decided to care less about the diagnosis and more about healing myself. Stress, anxiety and burnout are all centered around the sympathetic nervous system - your fight or flight response. This course will teach you how to calm down that response, create healthy boundaries, recognise your warnings signs, convince you to prioritise your self care and effectively help you manage your anxiety confidently going forward.

How long does the course take?

On average around 6 weeks, however you have lifelong access to TBC and many students go through at their own pace, working on the steps one by one as they see the changes developing in themselves. You can complete the entire course very quickly if you like, take as much time as you need, and revisit any of the videos and resources whenever you feel you'd benefit from hearing the lessons again.

I've never done anything like this, what can I expect?

Once you sign up you'll be directed straight to the course login page where you'll create a password. And then you can start! Each module has 3 short videos with a slideshow, explaining the concepts in a practical way that are easy to grasp. With each module you'll be guided through exercises in the worksheet that help you to recognise your own behaviours, patterns and warning signs, and learn the exact strategies to use at each stage of anxiety and burnout to turn things around. You'll then be walked through how to set boundaries and standards, and create routines and rituals to set you up for a symptom free, full and productive life!

Can I do the course if I am already working with a therapist or doctor?

Definitely, in fact this course will help you to understand more about stress and anxiety in your body, give you the confidence and power to take control of your own health and wellbeing and the roadmap to create positive and permanent change in your life. Take back Control fills in the gaps in the conventional approach and allows for complete mind and body healing and transformation.

I am taking medication - should I stop?

No. I am NOT a medical professional and this course is not designed to give medical advice. You should continue to take any medication prescribed by your doctor and discuss with them the options you wish to explore. This course is not a substitute for medication but will provide the missing pieces in your stress and anxiety management plan.
